The Social Media

The teenagers today use social media everyday. At least most of them do. The social media is the place we can be ourselves, but still a lot of people use the social media the "wrong" way. Today people use Photoshop, right? On the social media a lot of people photoshop almost every single one of the photos they post. This creates a pressure. Everyone feel this pressure in some way. Mostly girls, but boys too. To be "popular" you must have tons of followers, tons of likes and a pretty "feed".

I won't write so much about the pressure, I'll rather write about how we use the social media. 

Well, I can speak for myself. I use social media to communicate with my friends and get to know people I've met, or never met. I know a lot of other people use social media to get more popular and get liked. I think this is mostly the people who's editing their photos to death and only care about likes and followers.

Is this really how our generation is going to be?

A Perfect World

A Perfect World

We live in a «perfect world». Everyone has to be perfect or else you won’t be accepted. One can’t be yourself and one have to live up to everyone’s expectations.

 If you don’t wear expensive clothes, you’re not perfect.

 If you don’t have perfect eyebrows, you’re not perfect.

 If you don’t wear and have expensive make-up, you’re not perfect.

We live in a world where we can’t have confidence. If we do, people would think that we are better than them.

In this world, we can't pick our own friends. You have to be friends with the "cool ones". The 

“perfect ones”. How are we supposed to be happy when the world turns against us?

 But this, this is not me. I wear what I want. I don't have a lot of make-up. I don't have perfect eyebrows and I choose my own friends. And I hope there is people that does the same thing, wears whatever they want, doesn't buy expensive make-up if they don't want to, choose their own friends and knows that just being themselves is enough.

These "perfect" images is ruining our world. We can't let that happen.
